Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Avondale, AZ seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, help deliver excellent customer service, and develop a cohesive team.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, inventory, loss prevention, and ensuring safety and policy adherence, while mentoring Store Associates and coordinating with the Store Manager to meet business goals. This is a full-time role with growth opportunities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Reading and explaining operational directives and merchandise layouts.
• Front-line store management experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs as part of daily duties.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
