Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Sun City, AZ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead store operations, drive customer service, and develop team members. You will assist with daily functions, merchandise flow, and adherence to company policies.

You will supervise and train Store Associates, ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, and support the Store Manager in delivering strong results. This role requires teamwork, excellent communication, and a commitment to ADA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, lifting).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise and transfer from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain store areas to company standards and protect assets.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention activities.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.
