Job summary

Family Dollar seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help in opening and closing procedures while ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant store. This role supports the Store Manager in supervising and developing associates.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, associates, and leadership.
• Experience managing store operations and leading a small team in a retail setting is preferred.
• Ability to perform lifting up to 55 lbs and engage in standing, walking, and stocking duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize, stock, and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain compliance with store policies.
