Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and ensure a high standard of cleanliness and customer experience.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling support, and implementing corporate directives while maintaining a friendly, safe environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures; ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and payroll/scheduling activities; support loss prevention.
