Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Snow Hill, Tennessee to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise movement, payroll and scheduling, and ensuring store standards are met.

The role emphasizes a positive customer experience and leadership of Store Associates in a fast-paced retail environment. The position is part-time with responsibilities to maintain a clean, organized store and uphold company

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling) and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
