Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Sevierville, TN store. You will assist with daily store operations, support customer service, and help develop the store team to meet company standards.

The role involves merchandise organization, opening/closing duties, payroll and scheduling support, and maintaining store assets. A high school diploma is preferred, with experience in retail management helpful and strong communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Support customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling duties.
