Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company in Mercedes, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, coaching staff, improving customer service, and driving sales and profitability.

You will lead a team, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with company standards while delivering an exceptional shopping experience. This role requires at least 5+ years in retail leadership and flexible work hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in store leadership or related role.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle inventory, cash, and POS operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to store staff, including supervisors and associates.
• Execute and support plans to enhance employee productivity and performance.
• Assist the Store Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff, as necessary.
• Provide coaching and direction on a day-to-day basis to ensure staff performance standards are met.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication.
• Assist the Store Manager with the development and implementation of action plans to address issues relating to store sales, goals, safety, training, and personnel development.
