Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead store staff and support the Store Manager in daily operations. You’ll focus on improving customer service, driving sales, and increasing profitability while mentoring a team of supervisors and associates.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, managing inventory, and implementing action plans to meet sales goals and safety standards. Flexible retail scheduling applies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in retail or similar environment.
• Proficient with Point of Sale (POS) systems and in-store tech.
• Ability to identify and resolve day-to-day operational problems.
• Strong communication with store leadership, associates and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to store staff, including supervisors and associates.
• Execute and support plans to enhance employee productivity and performance.
• Assist the Store Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff, as necessary.
• Provide coaching and direction on a day-to-day basis to ensure staff performance standards are met.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication.
• Assist the Store Manager with the development and implementation of action plans to address issues relating to store sales, goals, safety, training, and personnel development.
