Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a Store Leader for our Mercedes, TX location to guide store staff and ensure strong customer experiences. You will help implement plans to boost employee productivity, mentor associates, and support the Store Manager with hiring, training, and coaching in a fast-paced retail environment.

Effective communication, hands-on leadership, and the ability to manage inventory and operations will be essential.

Qualifications

• No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred)
• Experience in retail leadership or store operations preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to store staff, including supervisors and associates.
• Execute and support plans to enhance employee productivity and performance.
• Assist the Store Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff, as necessary.
• Provide coaching and direction on a day-to-day basis to ensure staff performance standards are met.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication.
• Assist the Store Manager with development and implementation of action plans to address issues related to store sales, goals, safety, training, and personnel development.
