Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a Store Manager in Mercedes, TX to lead day-to-day store operations, improve customer service, drive sales, and increase profitability. You will forecast staffing, develop recruiting strategies, and guide a team to meet company standards.

The role requires 5 years of experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with POS systems. You will manage budgets, inventory, and promotional execution while maintaining a positive, high-performing work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree, or applicable certification or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of functional experience.
• Experience managing individual contributors and a department or has acted as a lead.
• Strong problem-solving skills: ability to resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems and drive decisions that impact finances, efficiency, and effectiveness of the store.
• Skill operating a Point of Sales (POS) system, and various software packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to develop, evaluate, and coach staff to maintain a high level of service and quality to meet customer experience expectations.
• Inspire, educate, guide, and develop associates and keyholders to meet growth plans and career paths within the store, field, and general office.
• Deliver operating budgets and manage expense control within division guidelines to deliver positive results and meet profitability expectations.
• Ensure accuracy of all functions related to store operations including Front and Back House Operations.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels through replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication.
• Communicate regularly with Area/District Manager providing relevant market information and employee successes and challenges.
