Columbia Sportswear is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Store Leadership Team. You will assist the Store Manager in ensuring effective store operations, drive customer service, and improve profitability in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will lead staff, coach performance, and help hire and train team members while maintaining inventory controls and implementing action plans for sales goals and safety. Commitment to exceptional customer experiences is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in position or specialization.
• Proficient with a Point of Sales (POS) system and in-store computer systems.
• Ability to use judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day operational problems.
• Effective communication skills with store leadership, associates, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to store staff, including supervisors and associates.
• Execute and support plans to enhance employee productivity and performance.
• Assist the Store Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff.
• Provide coaching and day-to-day direction to ensure staff performance standards.
• Maintain inventory through replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication.
• Assist with development and implementation of plans to address sales, safety, training, and personnel development.
