O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Wilmington, NC to support the Store Manager in sales, service, and store operations. You will lead the team, handle staffing, training, and customer engagement, while stepping in during absences or opposing shifts.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Fluency in multiple languages such as Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the showroom floor and execute related sales programs.
• Assist in staffing the retail sales counter during peak hours and manage shift coverage.
• Support hiring tasks: interviews, candidate evaluation, and coordination with management.
• Ensure telephone procedures and policy compliance are followed.
• Coordinate buy online/ship to store, hub transfers, and DC add orders and notify customers on arrivals.
• Oversee outside orders and special purchases for efficiency and proper handling.
• Process returns and exchanges promptly with correct refunds and proper staging.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store and manage zipline/Image Maker tasks.
• Enforce policy adherence, proper scheduling, clock-in/out, and security protocols.
• Perform opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, cash handling, deposits, and security checks.
• Maintain store building, parking lot, signage, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
