Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will manage the store in the manager’s absence and lead the team to provide excellent service to retail and professional customers.

Qualifications include Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification, and fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels at the retail showroom and ensure team execution of service programs.
• Coordinate staffing at the sales counter, especially during peak hours including lunch, late afternoon, evenings, weekends.
• Assist the store manager in setting team goals, providing feedback, coaching, and ensuring training compliance.
• Participate in recruiting tasks including interviews and candidate evaluation.
• Ensure phone calls are answered per company policy and process all store transfers timely.
• Manage buy online/ship to store orders and communicate shipment arrivals to customers as needed.
• Oversee external purchases and special orders using the ledger for efficiency.
• Handle returns and exchanges professionally and process refunds using correct methods.
• Ensure all merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store and that policies are followed.
