Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, service, appearance and operations. The role will lead team members to service customers and run the store during the manager’s absence or opposing shifts. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Essential duties include supervising service levels, staffing during peak hours, coaching staff, assisting in hiring, and ensuring timely processing of orders and returns. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure staffing during peak hours.
• Assist the store manager in setting team goals, coaching and training staff.
• Assist in hiring by recruiting, interviewing and selecting qualified team members.
• Ensure timely processing of buy online/ship to store, transfers and DC add orders.
• Manage returns, refunds and exchanges; ensure invoicing of merchandise before checkout.
• Ensure policy compliance, clock-in/out, and day end procedures are followed.
• Perform opening/closing duties and secure money, deposits and building.
