Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in California to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will manage the store during the Manager’s absence and during opposing shifts, leading the team to deliver excellent service.

The position emphasizes staff scheduling, training coordination and ensuring timely processing of transfers, online orders, and customer returns, with opportunities for career growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training required.
• Assistant Manager Certification required.
• RSS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure staffing during peak hours.
• Assist the store manager in setting team goals, coaching, and training.
• Ensure phone is answered per company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, transfers, and DC add orders promptly and contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Communicate Zipline messages and manage merchandising tasks.
• Perform opening/closing duties, secure money, and prepare deposits.
• Maintain store building, parking lot, signage, and delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
