Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. You will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and lead the team in servicing customers.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in delivering excellent customer service.
• Supervise customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
• Coach and mentor team members; set goals and track progress.
• Assist in hiring by recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified staff.
• Answer phones per policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and transfers timely; notify customers on shipment arrivals.
• Manage outside purchases and special orders efficiently.
• Handle returns, exchanges, refunds with proper methods.
• Invoice merchandise before it leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure schedule adherence and proper clock-in/out.
• Perform opening/closing duties and money handling per policy.
• Maintain store building, parking lot, signs, and equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.
