Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This position will lead the store team during the Store Manager’s absence and guide staff to deliver excellent customer service.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. The role includes staffing, hiring, coaching, and day-to-day store responsibilities including opening/closing duties and order processing.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels at the retail showroom and ensure staffing for peak hours.
• Assist the store manager in goal setting, coaching, and training of team members.
• Participate in hiring, interviews, and selection of qualified candidates.
• Ensure all buy online/ship to store and transfers are processed timely and communicated to customers.
• Ensure proper handling of returns, refunds, and invoicing before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to schedules and proper clocking in/out by staff.
• Perform opening/closing duties including money security and bank deposits.
• Maintain store building, signage, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
