Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role requires leadership of store team members, ensures staffing during peak hours, and coaching for performance.

Qualified candidates may be bilingual (Spanish preferred) and will participate in recruiting, training, and policy adherence to maintain a high standard of service and efficiency in the store.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
• Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom and support programs like Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot.
• Ensure staffing of the retail sales counter during peak hours and coach team members on training requirements.
• Assist the store manager with setting goals, giving feedback, and mentoring staff.
• Assist in recruiting tasks, interviews, and selection of qualified team members.
• Ensure calls are answered per company policy and process all orders timely (BOP, ship to store, transfers).
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as needed.
• Ensure adherence to schedules, clock-ins, and security procedures.
