Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role includes managing the store during absences and leading the team to serve customers effectively.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels at the retail showroom and ensure team execution of service programs.
• Assist the store manager with staffing, goal setting, coaching, and training for team members.
• Participate in the hiring process: recruiting tasks, interviews, and candidate evaluation.
• Ensure telephone etiquette and timely processing of buy online/ship to store, transfers, and DC add orders.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with policies, scheduling, clocking in/out, and security procedures.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures, deposits, and security checks.
• Maintain store building, parking lot, signage/lighting, and delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
