Job summary

SecureSpace Self Storage is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager and leadership team in driving sales, customer service, and store operations. You will help manage site metrics, guest experience, and maintenance tasks, while coordinating schedules and training new staff.

The role offers opportunities for internal advancement, a $1,500 retention bonus (paid after 720 and 1440 hours), and flexible scheduling with weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in storage/retail/hospitality is required.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbal and written.
• Support to Store Manager and act as backup when needed.
• Customer oriented mindset with service focus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to identify maintenance, safety, and fire issues.
• Willingness to travel to other locations occasionally.
• Strong conflict resolution and issue-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote unit rentals, warranties, and moving supplies to beat sales targets and drive positive reviews.
• Guide new customers through the rental process for smooth transactions.
• Reach out to clients to confirm moving dates and ensure units are ready and secure.
• Manage past-due tenant accounts and process lien/auction paperwork.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and address client needs effectively.
• Conduct daily property inspections for security, cleanliness and upkeep.
• Perform light gardening and general maintenance tasks.
• Use power tools for property/grounds upkeep.
• Handle cleaning and maintenance chemicals for aesthetics.
• Communicate updates and recommendations to Store Manager and Leadership Team.
• Travel to nearby locations for scheduled shifts as needed.
• Be flexible for weekend/holiday work per schedule.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
