Job summary

SecureSpace Management is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager and lead daily operations at our Tacoma area stores. You will drive unit rentals, assist customers through the rental process, and help manage accounts while maintaining security and cleanliness across facilities.

The role emphasizes teamwork, scheduling flexibility including weekends, and opportunities for advancement as SecureSpace opens new locations. A retention bonus and growth pathways are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in storage, retail, or hospitality.
• Excellent English communication (verbal and written).
• Supports Store Manager and acts as backup.
• Conflict resolution experience.
• Willing to travel occasionally.
• Strong teamwork and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Promote unit rentals and related products; encourage positive reviews.
• Guide new customers through the rental process for smooth transactions.
• Reach out to clients to confirm moving dates and unit readiness.
• Manage past-due accounts and lien/auction paperwork support.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address needs effectively.
• Conduct daily property inspections for security and upkeep.
• Perform light gardening and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Use power tools for property and grounds maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and overall aesthetics of the facility.
• Communicate updates and results to Store Manager and Leadership.
• Occasionally travel to nearby locations for shifts.
• Weekend and holiday availability as required.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
