Job summary

Five Below, Apple Valley, MN invites an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, open/close procedures, and exceptional customer service. You will oversee receiving, displays, staffing and training, while driving sales through merchandising and promotions following corporate guidelines.

This role requires strong communication, multi-tasking, and composure under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and stay composed under pressure.
• Experience in store operations and staff supervision is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversees receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock.
• Manages displays, signage, and promotions per corporate guidelines.
• Responsible for opening/closing store and securing cash.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed for operations and staff.
• Supports onboarding and training of associates.
• Drives sales and controls expenses through merchandising and customer service.
