Job summary

The North Face in Livermore, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a dynamic retail team and drive store performance. You will monitor sales KPIs, coach team members, and ensure exceptional customer experiences that reflect our brand promise.

Responsibilities include daily store operations, hiring and onboarding, training, and maintaining visual merchandising standards. The role requires 2+ years of retail leadership and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail or store leadership experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred; hands-on achievement matters most.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and communication skills across teams.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support the store team in achieving and exceeding sales goals by monitoring progress against KPIs.
• Lead and coach the team to exceed individual and store productivity goals.
• Model exceptional customer service and selling behaviors to inspire the team.
• Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing and floor coverage.
• Assist Store Manager with recruiting, hiring and onboarding.
• Provide ongoing training, feedback and development to team members.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and standards.
• Partner with Store Manager to manage expenses, shrink, and profitability.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and stock replenishment per brand directives.
• Foster accountability, creativity and continuous improvement within the team.
