Job summary

Bath & Body Works is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager to develop outstanding associates, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and positively impact growth across the store.

You'll lead, coach, and motivate a team, manage operations, staffing, and payroll, and uphold our values while ensuring safe, engaging, and on-brand shopping. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a manager role, preferably in a retail setting.
• Thrives in a customer-first based retail environment.
• Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
• Effective communication skills, open to feedback, and adaptable.
• Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
• Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
• Must be available to work peak days and times, including varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
• Set and reinforce performance expectations, results goals, and accountability with all associates.
• Act as Manager on Duty when scheduled to address customer experience or operations.
• Partner with Sales Leadership to support action plans and effective execution.
• Implement floorset direction to optimize the business and storytelling.
• Perform opening/closing routines including deposits and shipments.
• Set the direction and goals for the day/shift.
• Provide individual and team performance feedback to managers.
• Meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage.
• Lead exceptional in-store customer experiences through selling and product knowledge.
• Create genuine connections with customers through needs discovery and recommendations.
• Train, coach, and motivate associates to improve selling and experience.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and store appearance; uphold company policies.
