Bath & Body Works is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in developing outstanding associates and delivering consistent customer experiences across the store. You will contribute to growth by guiding daily operations, coaching teams, and maintaining exceptional product knowledge.

The role requires creating a customer-first selling culture, meeting payroll targets, and leading with initiative during peak shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a manager role, preferably in a retail setting.
• Thrives in a customer-first based retail environment.
• Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
• Effective communication skills, open to feedback, and adaptable.
• Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
• Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
• Must be available to work peak days and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
• Set and reinforce clear performance expectations, results goals, and accountability with all associates.
• Acting as Manager on Duty when scheduled to address customer experience, vendor relations, or maintenance issues.
• Partner with Sales Leadership to support action plans that improve results and ensure effective execution of operations.
• Implement floorset direction to bring the product story to life.
• Perform opening and closing routines including bank deposits, receipt of shipments, and dissemination of company directives.
• Set the direction and goals for the day/shift when associates arrive for work.
• Provide individual and team performance feedback to managers.
• Meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage and a selling focus.
• Lead exceptional in-store customer experiences through selling behaviors rooted in Our Values and product knowledge.
• Create genuine connections with customers through uncovering needs and making personalized recommendations.
• Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and customer experience.
• Reinforce selling expectations, performance and accountability with all associates.
• All store positions require physical activity: standing, walking, reaching, lifting.
