Job summary

Crosby’s Stores in New York is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations, supervise team members, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will work closely with the Team Leader to maintain high standards, oversee inventory and merchandising, and coach staff to achieve sales goals and compliance with food safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Available to work at least 40 hours per week, including weekends.
• Experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Serve Safe certification preferred.
• Proficient in basic math for cash handling and reports.
• Familiar with POS systems and operating instructions.
• Able to meet lottery and equipment operating requirements.
• Tolerant of exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service.
• Prepare fresh food and made-to-order items.
• Promote My Crosby’s Rewards enrollment.
• Drive sales through suggestive selling and add-on recommendations.
• Oversee daily operations alongside the Team Leader.
• Train and coach store associates.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing.
• Handle cash, deposits, and payroll-related tasks.
• Maintain store cleanliness and brand standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, tobacco, and alcohol regulations.
• Report discrepancies and maintain records.
