Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and ensure the store meets company standards.

The role emphasizes strong communication, customer service, and leadership to train and develop store associates while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor as needed
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged merchandise, and payroll/scheduling records
• Maintain a well-stocked store and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe environment and professional interactions with customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of store, restrooms, floors, and waste management
• Other duties as assigned
