Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and support payroll/scheduling and loss prevention.

The role emphasizes maintaining clean, well-stocked floors, training Store Associates, and upholding safety and company policies in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties (standing, walking, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store storefronts are effective.
