Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities and help customers with questions, while maintaining merchandise flow from delivery to floor and keeping seasonal areas well organized.

The role includes opening/closing procedures, enforcing directives, managing displays, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays; assist in ordering merchandise and handling damaged goods.
• Maintain store areas, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including store cash; follow policies and safety guidelines.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
