Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, support opening and closing procedures, and ensure merchandise flows smoothly from delivery to sales floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; assist with loss prevention.
• Maintain clean and organized store and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain overall store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
