Job summary

Curaleaf in New York is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a high-energy team and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will drive sales, ensure compliance, and serve as a brand ambassador across weekday, evening, and weekend shifts.

The role requires at least 1 year in retail with supervisory experience, fluency in English, and the ability to manage cash, schedules, and inventory. Travel to other locations is expected 10–25%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail and/or customer service experience in a high-paced environment.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail supervisory experience.
• Strong sense of business acumen and ability to measure success by financial targets and KPIs.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including extended days, evenings and weekends.
• Experience working in a heavily regulated industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Strong salesmanship and revenue-driving experience.
• Experience with cash handling and POS operations.
• Ability to learn quickly and share information with broad audiences.
• Ability to work independently and run the business in the manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Proactively communicate with Store Manager and District Manager to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Lead selling behaviors aligned with brand culture to build loyal customer relationships.
• Monitor customer service and provide feedback and coaching.
• Share customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive guest experience.
• Supervise store operations, shifts, delegation and scheduling.
• Oversee cash handling, bank withdrawals, deposits, and ledger accuracy.
• Analyze inventory trends and manage ordering, stock, and avoidance of outs.
• Maintain knowledge of computer systems (registers, LeafLogix, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain respectful coworker relationships.
• Complete special assignments and assist teammates as needed.
• Travel to other locations for training/coverage (10–25%).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
