Job summary

SKIMS is seeking an Assistant Store Leader – Operations at Mall of America to partner with the Store Leader in running the store with excellence. You’ll drive operational routines, coaching, and customer-centric service in a high-volume environment, ensuring brand standards are met every day.

You will lead by example, manage back-of-house processes, and develop the team’s skills while delivering results and growth opportunities within the SKIMS organization.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in a retail leadership or operations-focused role.
• Strong knowledge of inventory systems, shipment handling, and operational processes in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Deep understanding of customer service principles and the ability to provide exceptional service to all customers.
• Ability to resolve issues or complaints in a timely manner and maintain high service standards.
• Strong communication skills, able to share expectations and provide constructive feedback.
• Passion for the SKIMS brand and ability to embody values and service approach.

Responsibilities

• Support daily business operations with a focus on Operational Excellence, ensuring processes, systems, and standards are executed efficiently.
• Oversee Back of House operations including shipment, inventory accuracy, and back room organization.
• Manage replenishment, size integrity, and product availability; partner on real-time solutions.
• Own damage processing, returns, and inventory accuracy through an Operational Excellence lens.
• Maintain and manage store supplies, equipment, and technology, and report service requests with urgency.
• Train the team on operational policies, safety, and loss prevention; lead in high-pressure moments.
• Deliver strong floor leadership during peak hours and model customer-obsessed behaviors.
• Lead team training on fit, function, and product knowledge for confident service.
• Coach on visual standards and product placement to stay on-brand and trend-responsive.
• Use store reports and data to support inventory excellence and KPI goals.
• Communicate with Store Leader and HQ on allocation and product flow.
• Support floor sets, store actions, and priorities supporting company initiatives.
• Be adaptable across zones, show learning agility, and accept feedback with ownership.
• Inspire the team through clear, respectful communication and a culture of trust.
