Job summary

GPM Investments' Village Pantry in Kokomo is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily store operations, coach a small team, manage cash handling, and ensure outstanding customer service on every shift. Open availability, including weekends and holidays, is required.

You will assist the Store Manager, hire and train staff, and oversee inventory and merchandising to keep the store energized and profitable. Weekly pay, a $1,000 sign-on bonus after six months, and opportunities for career growth

Qualifications

• Open Availability: weekends, holidays, and second/third shifts.
• Reliable Transportation: valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and proof of insurance for deposits.
• Physical Readiness: able to perform cleaning, trash removal, and upkeep of pumps/outdoors.
• Age 21+ years required.
• Proficient in English with basic math skills.
• Willing to Learn

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed, accuracy, and a great attitude.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team focused on customer service and store success.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store including restrooms and fuel pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules to ensure full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling, deposits, and oversee store financials.
• Provide feedback and leadership to motivate the team to excel.
• Other duties as assigned
