Job summary

El Car Wash is seeking an Assistant Site Manager in Abingdon, MD to lead daily operations and develop a high-performing team on site. You’ll recruit, onboard, schedule, and coach staff while ensuring top-tier customer experiences.

You’ll monitor metrics, manage labor and throughput, and handle conflicts promptly. If SM absent, you’ll run the site with confidence and focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance is expected and sets the standard for the team.
• Evidence of supervising or shifting responsibilities with accountability.
• Ability to coach in real time and develop team members.
• Experience addressing team conflict directly and constructively.
• Good command of labor, scheduling, and throughput in operations.
• Always put the customer first, even under pressure.
• Comfort with reading daily metrics and acting on them.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Background in car wash, QSR, retail, or hospitality is a plus.
• Education credentials listed above (HS diploma; Associate's or higher in Business)

Responsibilities

• Run the day-to-day operations and staffing to keep the site performing.
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling to build a reliable team.
• Coach and develop talent; provide real-time feedback and growth opportunities.
• Address conflicts head-on to maintain a positive culture.
• Set service standards for fast, friendly, flawless customer experiences.
• Track daily metrics (sales, labor, inventory, equipment) and improve results.
• Hold the site when the Site Manager is out, with calm decisiveness.
• Keep equipment operational and the wash consistently performing at peak.
