Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You’ll support daily operations, develop the team, and act as Manager on Duty when needed, ensuring safe, efficient service with a strong customer focus.

We provide paid hands-on training to teach the Take 5 service standards. Automotive experience is valued but not required, with career growth through internal promotion paths.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow safety and policy procedures.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Ability to stay calm and organized during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Certified Technician training.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed, coordinating workflow and guiding the team.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address customer concerns.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing safety standards.
• Support shop performance by identifying improvement opportunities and taking on leadership tasks when the Manager is unavailable.
• Train new team members and provide coaching and feedback.
• Perform all Certified and Lead Technician responsibilities.
• Handle opening/closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication and follow-up.
