Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You will support the Shop Manager with daily operations, develop staff, and ensure a high-quality customer experience. The role includes acting as Manager on Duty and maintaining safety and efficiency.

We provide hands-on paid training and opportunities to advance into leadership positions through performance and consistency. Automotive experience is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following facility and safety policies.
• Strong communication skills for directing and guiding team.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and solutions-focused during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed, coordinating workflow and team safety.
• Support Shop Manager with daily operations and training new team members.
• Provide real-time coaching and feedback to staff and reinforce service standards.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while following company procedures and safety requirements.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and daily inventory counts.
