Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change in Farmers Branch, TX, is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager who is career-minded and thrives in a fast-paced service environment. You’ll support the Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and a fast, friendly customer experience, stepping in as Manager on Duty when needed.

You will train and coach teammates, help deliver safe, efficient service, and assist with inventory, opening/closing procedures, and reporting to drive shop performance and growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months of experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide direction and feedback to team members.
• Ability to stay calm, organized and solutions-focused during busy periods.
• Reliable transportation to and from work location.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed by coordinating workflow and helping the team deliver safe, efficient, high-quality service.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and reinforce company procedures, safety requirements, and service standards.
• Train new team members, provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Support shop performance by identifying opportunities for improvement and taking on leadership responsibilities when the Shop Manager is unavailable.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication, reporting, and operational follow-up.
