Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to lead a fast-paced automotive service team on the shop floor. You will support the Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and delivering a fast, friendly customer experience. You may serve as Manager on Duty, ensure safety and quality, and help the crew stay efficient and engaged.

Automotive experience is valued but not required. Training will cover Certified Technician duties, workflow coordination, coaching, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete our Certified Technician training and serve as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Coordinate workflow and help the team deliver safe, efficient, high-quality service.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Reinforce company procedures, safety requirements, and service standards.
• Identify opportunities for shop improvement and take on leadership duties when the Shop Manager is unavailable.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and assist with daily inventory counts.
