Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You’ll support the Shop Manager with daily operations, staff development, and delivering a quick, friendly customer experience.

The role includes acting as Manager on Duty, ensuring safety and efficiency, and coaching new team members. Automotive experience is valued but not required, with paid hands-on training available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and comfort providing direction, coaching, and feedback to team members.
• Initiative, accountability, and follow-through on responsibilities.
• The ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-focused during busy periods.
• Reliable transportation to and from your work location.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with daily operations and team development.
• Lead as Manager on Duty when needed, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Model fast, friendly customer service, respond to customer needs, and resolve concerns professionally.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Assist with inventory counts and shop reporting and follow-up.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
