Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor and support daily operations with a focus on safety and customer experience.

You'll step in as Manager on Duty when needed, help grow the team, and ensure high-quality service. Training is provided; automotive experience is valued but not required. Join a team with clear growth from shop roles to leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Commitment to following facility and safety policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coach and direct the team.
• Initiative, accountability and follow-through on responsibilities.
• Ability to stay calm and organized during busy periods.
• Able to meet age and certification requirements if applicable.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed, coordinating workflow for safe, efficient service.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address customer needs.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing standards.
• Support shop performance and take on leadership tasks when the Shop Manager is unavailable.
• Train new team members and provide coaching and feedback.
• Perform Certified Technician and Lead Technician duties as required.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and reporting.
