Take 5 Oil Change is hiring an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You will support daily operations, coach staff, and ensure a safe, efficient, high-quality service experience for customers.

Automotive experience is valued but not required. We offer paid training, opportunities for growth, and a clear path from technician roles to leadership within the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and comfort providing direction, coaching, and feedback to team members.
• Reliable transportation to and from your work location.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and customer experience.
• Step in as Manager on Duty when needed, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high-quality service.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and respond to customer needs with professional problem resolution.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing procedures, safety requirements, and standards.
• Train new team members, provide coaching and feedback, reinforce expectations, and recognize performance.
• Perform Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities as required.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and assist with daily inventory counts.
• Support shop communication, reporting, and operational follow-up.
