Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to lead daily operations, develop the team, and ensure a fast, friendly customer experience. You will step in as Manager on Duty when needed, maintaining safety, efficiency, and quality standards.

Automotive experience is valued but not required. We provide paid training and a clear growth path from shop roles into leadership, with opportunities across the country.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and comfort providing direction, coaching, and feedback to team members.
• Initiative, accountability, and follow-through on responsibilities.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and solutions-focused during busy periods.
• Reliable transportation to and from your work location.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed, coordinating workflow and guiding the team.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and respond to customer needs.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing procedures and safety standards.
• Support shop performance by identifying opportunities for improvement and taking on leadership tasks.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and reporting.
• Support shop communication and follow-up activities.
