Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You will support the Shop Manager with daily operations, staff development, and a focus on delivering a fast, friendly customer experience.

We provide paid, hands-on training and opportunities to grow into leadership roles. Automotive experience is valued but not required, with competitive hourly pay and benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and comfort providing direction, coaching, and feedback to team members.
• Initiative, accountability, and follow-through on responsibilities.
• Ability to meet age and certification requirements, including Inspector Certification when required.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and customer experience.
• Step in as Manager on Duty when needed, keeping shop safe, efficient and running smoothly.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and assist with inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication, reporting, and operational follow-up.
