Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to lead daily operations on the shop floor. You will support the Shop Manager with team development and a fast, friendly customer experience, stepping in as Manager on Duty when needed to keep the shop safe and efficient.

We provide paid, hands-on training to teach technical skills and service standards. Automotive experience is valued but not required, with opportunities for promotion from within.

Qualifications

• 6 months customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide direction, coaching, and feedback to team members.
• Initiative, accountability, and follow-through on responsibilities.
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-focused during busy periods.
• Ability to meet applicable age and certification requirements, including Inspector Certification when required.
• Reliable transportation to and from your work location.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Serve as Manager on Duty and coordinate workflow to deliver safe, efficient service.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address customer needs and concerns.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing procedures, safety, and standards.
• Identify opportunities for shop improvement and take on additional leadership responsibilities when the Manager is unavailable.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
