Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to support daily operations, lead a fast-paced team, and ensure a safe, high-quality customer experience. You will step in as Manager on Duty when needed and help drive service excellence on the shop floor.

We provide paid hands-on training, clear career growth paths, and competitive hourly pay with bonus opportunities. Automotive experience is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast‑paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Reliable transportation to and from your work location.

Responsibilities

• Assist Shop Manager with daily operations and team development.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed by coordinating workflow and helping the team deliver safe, efficient service.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and resolve concerns professionally.
• Train new team members, provide real-time coaching and feedback, reinforce expectations.
• Perform Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication, reporting, and operational follow-up.
