Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to support daily operations, develop the team, and ensure a fast, friendly customer experience. You’ll occasionally act as Manager on Duty, helping keep the shop safe, efficient, and running smoothly while training new teammates and enforcing Take 5 standards.

Automotive experience is valued but not required; paid training and clear career growth paths are provided to advance into leadership roles within the shop.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Commitment to following and maintaining safety policies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coach and provide feedback.
• Initiative, accountability, and ability to stay calm during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist Shop Manager with daily operations and team development.
• Step in as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address customer concerns.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing procedures and safety standards.
• Support shop performance by identifying improvement opportunities and leading when required.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching.
• Perform Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
