Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead a fast-paced automotive service team on the shop floor. You will support the Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and delivering a quick, friendly customer experience, stepping in as Manager on Duty when needed.

We provide paid hands-on training to teach the Take 5 standards. Automotive experience is valued, but not required, and opportunities for growth from shop roles into leadership positions are strong for

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of customer service in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months of experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Strong communication skills for directing and coaching team members.
• Initiative, accountability and follow-through on responsibilities.
• Ability to stay calm and organized during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with daily operations and team development.
• Step in as Manager on Duty when needed and ensure safety, efficiency and service quality.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address customer needs professionally.
• Reinforce company procedures, safety requirements, and service standards.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and take on leadership tasks when Shop Manager is unavailable.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
