Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You will support the Shop Manager with daily operations, guest experience, and team development, stepping in as Manager on Duty when needed.

Automotive experience is valued but not required, with paid, hands-on training to learn Take 5 standards. You will help maintain safety, quality, and efficiency while mentoring staff and overseeing opening/closing routines and inventory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months experience leading or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety policies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coach and provide feedback to team members.
• Reliable transportation to and from work location.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with daily operations and lead a fast-paced team.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed and coordinate workflow.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and resolve concerns professionally.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing procedures and safety standards.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and take on leadership responsibilities when Manager is unavailable.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching.
• Perform Certified Technician responsibilities as required and assist with opening/closing.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and reporting.
• Support shop communication and follow-up.
