Job summary

Pep Boys in The Villages, FL is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support the service and tire team under the Store Service Manager. You will help drive sales across service labor, parts, tires, and fleet, and ensure the shop operates efficiently and safely.

The role requires a high school diploma, automotive service experience, strong customer service and cash handling skills, and the ability to lead and train staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of automotive service experience needed.
• One year of automotive service sales experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Basic math concepts for commissions and discounts helpful.
• Ability to supervise as a work lead.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult customers.
• Comfort with up-sell techniques and POS cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in customer care, work orders and register assistance, facility maintenance, and merchandising activities.
• Follow POS, inventory, returns, and vendor payment policies.
• Address customer issues by coordinating with management.
• Drive sales goals through personal engagement and coaching of advisors.
• Train and coach service selling associates on Pep Boys Customer Care Process and CVIs.
• Support shop productivity and back shop operations to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and follow company policies.
• In management's absence, act as primary supervisor and handle opening/closing duties.
