Job summary

Capital Square Living is seeking an Assistant Service Manager for our Rivergate community in Woodbridge, VA. You will oversee and perform technical and maintenance tasks to uphold our standards of cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality in both interiors and exteriors.

You will assist in delegating work orders, managing make-ready processes for leasing, and ensuring high customer service while coordinating with residents and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math skills for reviewing financial and admin documents.
• Proficiency with standard office software and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Manager by delegating and completing work orders from resident requests.
• Prepare units for leasing, schedule vendors, and inspect completed maintenance.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, including cleaning and minor repairs.
• Support safety, policy adherence, and cost-control measures.
• Inspect contractor work for quality and ensure compliance.
• Communicate property needs to management and help budget within guidelines.
